What is naxia eye drops and what is it used for?
Therapeutic indications
This medicine is an anti-allergic eye drop. It is recommended for the treatment of certain allergic eye diseases (conjunctivitis, blepharoconjunctivitis).
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE USING NAAXIA eye drops
Contraindications
Never use NAAXIA, eye drops in the following cases:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamic acid or to any of the other components contained in NAAXIA, eye drops.
IF IN DOUBT, ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE.
Be careful with NAAXIA, eye drops:
Due to the presence of benzalkonium chloride, this medication may cause eye irritation.
Contact lens wearers:
Avoid contact with soft contact lenses
Remove contact lenses before application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Benzalkonium chloride may yellow soft contact lenses.
Interactions with other drugs
Taking or using other medications:
If you are currently using (or plan to use) another eye drop, wait 15 minutes between instillations.
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medication, even if it is obtained without a prescription.
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy and Nursing
This medication, under normal conditions of use, can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
In general, it is advisable to ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medication.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
Driving and using machines:
Brief visual disturbance may occur after instillation of the product.
Wait until normal vision is restored before driving or operating machinery.

HOW TO USE NAAXIA eye drops
Dosage, Method and/or route(s) of administration
Follow the medical prescription: usually 2 to 6 instillations per day.
Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose
If you have taken more NAAXIA, eye drops than you should have:
In case of overdose, flush with sterile saline solution.
Instructions in case of missed dose(s)
If you forget to take NAAXIA Ophthalmic Solution:
Do not take a double dose to make up for the single dose you forgot to take.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
Description of side effects
Like all medicines, NAAXIA Ophthalmic Solution may have side effects, although not everyone is likely to experience them:
Burning, stinging sensation.
If you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, or if any side effects become serious, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE NAAXIA, eye drops
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Expiration date
Do not use NAAXIA eye drops after the expiration date stated on the outer packaging.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
After first opening of the bottle: 4 weeks.
If necessary, warnings against certain visible signs of deterioration.
Medications should not be disposed of down the drain or in the household garbage. Ask your pharmacist what to do with unused medications. This will help protect the environment.
