Allervi is an over-the-counter antihistamine indicated for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis from the age of 12.

It provides rapid, long-lasting relief of unpleasant symptoms caused by exposure to allergens such as pollen: nasal congestion, sneezing...

Allervi is a non-prescription medicine in the form of 7 film-coated tablets to be taken orally daily from the age of 12. Each tablet contains 120 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride, a second-generation antihistamine offering rapid, long-lasting action against pollen allergy.

How does fexofenadine hydrochloride work? By selectively blocking histamine on peripheral H1 receptors. Histamine is a molecule released during allergic reactions, to pollens for example, which causes the symptoms you suffer from: runny nose, itchy palate, watery eyes...

Allervi takes effect about 1 hour after you take it, and provides relief for 24 hours.

Directions for use Allervi 24H Seasonal allergic rhinitis 7 tablets

Your pharmacist advises you to take one film-coated tablet of Allervi once a day with a large glass of water for seasonal allergic rhinitis. It is reserved for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

The duration of treatment will depend on the duration and evolution of symptoms. If symptoms are not reduced after a few days of treatment, contact your doctor.

Allergy-related symptoms can be very uncomfortable, so we recommend combining antihistamines with an anti-allergy nasal spray and eye drops for allergic conjunctivitis.

WHAT IS SEASONAL ALLERGIC RHINITIS?

Seasonal allergic rhinitis or "hay fever" is characterized by a number of symptoms, such as sneezing, rhinorrhea (runny nose), nasal congestion, and may also include nasal itching, mucus/glucous in the throat, or temporary disturbance of the sense of smell. The eyes may also be affected.

There are several factors that can help distinguish allergic rhinitis from the common cold:

1- allergic rhinitis is often triggered by exposure to specific allergens such as pollen.

2- it may be accompanied by ocular symptoms, and is often observed in people with a family history of allergies. Unlike the common cold, symptoms are bilateral and the nasal discharge is clear and watery.

Allergic rhinitis is not accompanied by pain, complete loss of smell (anosmia) or nosebleeds (epistaxis). It generally occurs at the same time every year, when the air is rich in pollen. :
