Macrogol is an osmotic laxative that helps retain water in the intestine. Macrogol 4 g is indicated for constipation and slow transit in children aged between 6 months and 8 years.

Directions for use Biogaran Macrogol 4000 4 g powder for drinkable solution 20 sachets

After opening, pour the contents of the sachet into a glass of water (minimum 50 ml), then dilute the powder before immediately drinking the reconstituted mixture. Generally takes effect within 24 to 48 hours.

Dosage is adapted to the child's age:

6 months to 1 year: 1 sachet in the morning

1 to 4 years: 1 to 2 sachets a day, 1 morning and evening

4 to 8 years: 2 to 4 sachets a day, 1 to 2 morning and evening

Treatment duration should not exceed 3 months.

For a 4.07 g sachet: Macrogol 4000 4,000 g

Sodium saccharin (E954) and orange-grapefruit flavor (composed of orange and grapefruit essential oils, orange juice concentrate, citral, acetic aldehyde, linalool, ethyl butyrate, alpha terpineol, octanal, beta gamma hexenol, maltodextrin, gum arabic, sorbitol (E420), butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) and sulfur dioxide (E 220).

Precautions for use

Do not use if you are allergic or hypersensitive to macrogol or any of the other ingredients of this product.

Do not take Macrogol if you suffer from severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), bowel perforation or risk of bowel perforation, ileus or suspected bowel obstruction, or abdominal pain of unknown origin.
