Description:
Transipeg 5.9 g is for adults only for the treatment of constipation. These sachets are lemon flavoured.
The active ingredient in this medication is macrogol at 5.9g per sachet. Other ingredients in Transipeg are sodium chloride, sodium sulphate anhydrous (E 514), potassium chloride (E 508), sodium bicarbonate (E 500), aspartam (E 951), acesulfame potassium, lemon flavour (maltodextrin, sucrose, lemon flavour, gum arabic (E414), lecithin (E322) and silicon dioxide (E 551).
DOSAGE:
Take 1 to 2 sachets as a single dose in the morning. The laxative effect of Transipeg appears most often between 24 and 48 hours after taking the medicine.
The sachets should be dissolved in a little water before drinking. If symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of treatment or if they worsen before then, it will be necessary to see your doctor.
WARNINGS:
This constipation medication may be used during breastfeeding. Medical advice should be sought before using Transipeg 5.9 g in pregnant women.
Transipeg 5.9 g should not be taken in case of allergy to any of the components, in case of pathology of the intestine and in particular of the colon, in case of intestinal perforation, in case of ileus, in case of stomach pain, in case of phenylketonuria (presence of aspartam).
Each bag of Transipeg contains 290 mg of sodium which is the major component of table salt. This is the major component of table salt, so you should take this into account if you are on a salt-free or low-salt diet.
In addition, two packets contain 40 mg of potassium. This content should be taken into account by people with kidney failure.
The treatment of constipation also requires the adoption of hygienic and dietary measures: drinking plenty of water, eating fibre, exercising and having regular bowel movements.
