When is BAUME AROMA prescribed?
This analgesic cream contains a salicylic and plant essences (terpenes) which have a revulsive effect.
It is used in the local adjunctive treatment of muscle, tendon and ligament pain.

Excipients: Carbomer, Non-ionic emulsifiable wax with cetomacrogol 800, Purified water, Levomenthol, Light liquid paraffin, Trolamine
Contraindications of the drug BAUME AROMA
This medicine should not be used in the following cases:
- allergy to salicylates;
- when applied to mucous membranes, wounds or injured skin, under a watertight dressing (occlusive);
- a history of convulsions.
Fertility, pregnancy and lactation
Pregnancy:
The effect of this drug during pregnancy is not well known. The assessment of the possible risk associated with its use is individual: ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice.
Breastfeeding:
Terpenes can give a particular taste to milk. Their absorption by infants is not desirable: avoid using this drug while breastfeeding.
Instructions for use and dosage of BAUME AROMA
The cream should be applied to the painful area with a gentle and prolonged massage until complete penetration.
Usual dosage :
Adults and children over 7 years: 1 or 2 applications per day.
Possible side effects of BAUME AROMA
Allergic skin reaction (eruption of pimples, itching...) requiring the cessation of treatment; not to be confused with redness at the point of application, due to the drug.
If the usual dosage is exceeded, terpenes can cause :
- convulsions in children,
- agitation, confusion of ideas (particularly in the elderly).
