Indications:

Cacit 1000 mg is a medicine containing calcium. It is indicated to treat calcium deficiencies, especially during growth, pregnancy or lactation. It is also used as an adjunct treatment for osteoporosis in the elderly, during the menopause, under corticosteroid treatment or when regaining mobility after immobilisation.

Description:

Its composition in active substance is 2500 mg of calcium carbonate, which corresponds to 1000 mg of elemental calcium. The excipients contain citric acid, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, mandarin orange flavouring and orange yellow S.

DOSAGE OF CACIT 1000 MG

Cacit 1000 mg is presented as an effervescent tablet. It is necessary to dissolve the tablet completely in a glass of water before administration.

You should take this medicine as directed by your doctor

In adults and children over 10 years of age, the usual dosage is 1 tablet per day.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE OF CACIT 1000 MG

Cacit 1000 mg should not be used in cases of hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria and in cases of calcium lithiasis (kidney stones, calcification of tissues)

In case of prolonged immobilization, hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria, the treatment should be taken when mobility is resumed.

If you take this medicine for a certain period of time, you must have your blood and urine calcium levels checked regularly.

Cacit 1000 mg can be used during pregnancy and while breast-feeding, on medical indication.

To avoid overdosing, do not take Cacit 1000 mg in combination with any other calcium-containing medication.

The symptoms of an overdose are : nausea, vomiting, dehydration, thirst, constipation.
