Description:
Betadine Dermal 10% solution contains Povidone Iodine at 10% (per 100 ml). It is also composed of glycerol, macrogol lauric ether (9), disodium phosphate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide and purified water.
HOW TO USE BETADINE DERMAL 10% SOLUTION?
Betadine Dermique 10% solution is intended for the cutaneous route. It can be used undiluted on the skin, or diluted to 1/10th with water or physiological serum for cleaning wounds, or diluted to 2% for irrigation.
The number of applications as well as their modalities will be defined by your doctor, please respect them.
SIDE EFFECTS AND PRECAUTIONS WITH BETADINE DERMAL 10% SOLUTION?
This medicine should not be used after the 2nd trimester of pregnancy (repeated use) and during breastfeeding, and in newborns. Do not use it in case of allergy to povidone-iodine or to one of its constituents, nor for the disinfection of surgical material.
If used for a long time or over a large area, iodine can enter the body and can affect the functioning and exploration of the thyroid. It requires particular attention in case of repeated use, or on certain fragile or weakened skins. It is to be used with precautions in the renal insufficiency.
Do not combine Betadine Dermique 10% solution with any other antiseptic, especially those derived from mercury.
Betadine Dermique 10% solution should not be used in children under 30 months without medical advice.
Caution : this product can temporarily colour the skin.
