Description:
The active ingredients for 1 film-coated tablet are as follows
Ferrous succinate 100.00 mg
Corresponding amount of iron 32.48 mg
Succinic acid. 100.00 mg
Other components of the formula are calcium hydrogen phosphate hydrate, corn starch, polyvidone K30 and magnesium stearate
Film coating: Opadry 85F18422 (titanium oxide (E171), polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene 4000, talc).
Dosage:
Inofer is for adults and children over 6 years of age.
As part of a curative treatment, the recommended dosage for adults and children from 30 kg (about 10 years) is 2 to 3 tablets per day on average. For children from 20 to 30 kg (about 6 to 10 years old), it is, on average, 1 to 2 tablets per day.
The preventive treatment of iron deficiency in pregnant women is 1 to 2 tablets per day, during the last 2 trimesters of pregnancy, or from the 4th month
It is recommended that the dose be divided into several daily doses in order to limit undesirable effects. The time of intake and the distribution should be adapted according to digestive tolerance
The duration of treatment should be sufficient to restore iron reserves while correcting anemia, i.e., approximately 3 to 6 months.
It is recommended to consult a doctor to check the effectiveness of the treatment after 3 months of use
In case of overdose, massive ingestion, it is necessary to consult a doctor immediately.
Contraindications:
This drug should not be used in cases of iron overload, especially in certain forms of anemia such as refractory anemia, thalassemia and anemia due to bone marrow failure.
Inofer Tablet is not indicated for the treatment of anemias associated with inflammatory diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to consult a doctor before starting this treatment in order to find out the cause of the anaemia.
It is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently taken, are taking or will be taking any other medication, especially injectable medications containing iron
Under the usual conditions of use, Inofer Tablet can be taken during pregnancy.
It can also be used during breast-feeding
