Description:
The drug Plurexid 1.5% is composed of 1.5 g of chlorhexidine gluconate per 100 ml of solution. The solution has a pH between 5.0 and 6.0.
The other components are: alkanamico (C12-C18) propyl betaine (Tegobetaine F50), di(hydroxyethylalkanamide) (Oramide DL 215), sodium acetate trihydrate, purified water.
Plurexid 1.5% is contained in a 250 ml bottle.

DOSAGE :
Plurexid 1.5% is an antiseptic that is used pure or diluted and must be rinsed after use
Depending on the type of use, Plurexid 1.5%, when used undiluted, is indicated for dabbing on small lesions and for washing. If Plurexid is diluted, it can be used as a wash, at a rate of 3 caps for 1 litre of water, as a soak, with 3 caps for 2 litres of water and finally for vulvar cleansing with 3 caps for 1 litre of water.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
The drug Plurexid 1.5% should not be used in case of allergy, for disinfection of medical-surgical equipment and should not be applied in the eyes, nor in the ears in case of perforation of the eardrum.
Due to the risk of microbial contamination, it is recommended not to keep the opened bottle for a long time after opening. Furthermore, the use of other local antiseptics at the same time as Plurexid solution is incompatible.
In case of pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of Plurexid solution should be done under the advice of a physician.
