Description Emoflon Rectal Ointment 25 g
Indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with hemorrhoidal disease and its complications (e.g. eczema, anal fissure).
Emoflon is intended for adults.
Covers and protects the epidermis, soothes inflamed and itchy skin and promotes skin regeneration. Reduces skin dryness, helping to heal lesions, and reduces the risk of cracks and wounds caused by defecation.
Directions for use Emoflon rectal ointment 25 g
Always follow the instructions in the package leaflet.
If used in a way other than recommended, symptoms may not be sufficiently relieved, or irritation may occur.
Wash hands before use.
Apply the ointment around the anus, possibly after defecation or a sitz bath, or apply a small amount of ointment (the size of a pea) into the rectum using the applicator.
Ensure that the applicator is correctly screwed onto the tube.
The applicator may only be used by one person.
Before use, check that the packaging, tube and applicator are intact. Do not use if packaging or applicator is damaged.
Clean the applicator with soap and warm water and close the tube with the protective cap after use.
Always wash your hands after using the ointment.
It is recommended to use rectal ointment 1 to 2 times a day.
Precautions for use Emoflon rectal ointment 25 g
emoflon rectal ointment must not be applied in or around the eyes, or in or on the mucous membranes of the mouth. If the product comes into contact with these areas, wipe or rinse them dry.
As the ointment may soil undergarments, the use of sanitary protection is recommended.
Treatment duration depends on improvement in symptoms, but this ointment can be used for up to 4 weeks without interruption.
A doctor should be consulted if symptoms do not improve after 1 to 2 weeks.
Do not use emoflon if you are allergic to lanolin or any other ingredient in this product.
Do not use in case of bleeding hemorrhoids.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
emoflon rectal ointment is not contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but it is recommended to consult a physician.
Interactions with other drugs
There are no known interactions of emoflon rectal ointment with other drugs.
However, it is advisable to inform a doctor or pharmacist before using this rectal ointment simultaneously with other rectal medications.
The simultaneous use of a rectal ointment and a condom may reduce the effectiveness of the condom.
What are the possible side effects?
The use of any local treatment, particularly long-term, may lead to hypersensitivity reactions, the symptoms of which may include burning, itching, pain or erythema. Discontinue treatment and consult a doctor if such symptoms occur.

Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Do not swallow.
emoflon rectal ointment must not be used in the vagina.
How should emoflon rectal ointment be stored?
The expiration date is indicated on the box and tube. The expiration date and batch number are indicated on the tube at the seam.
Do not use after the expiration date. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
Store emoflon rectal ointment at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, out of direct sunlight.
Do not dispose of medical devices down the drain or with household waste.
Ask a pharmacist how to dispose of medical devices that are no longer in use. These measures will help protect the environment.
Composition Emoflon rectal ointment 25 g
Sucralfate, cocoa butter, lanolin (vegetable origin), white petroleum jelly, white beeswax, purified water, caprylyl glycol, calendula extract, chamomile extract, witch hazel leaf extract.
