Homeoplasmine is used as an adjunctive treatment for skin irritations.
Description Homéoplasmine 40 g irritation ointment
Never use HOMÉOPLASMINE®, ointment :
On superinfected or oozing lesions.
If you are allergic to the active substances or to any of the other components contained in this medicine, as mentioned in section 6.
Warnings and precautions
Due to the presence of boric acid: application to mucous membranes or injured skin increases the systemic passage of boric acid and, in children, may expose them to toxic systemic effects. These effects are all the more to be feared when the topical is used in a prolonged or repeated way, on a large surface, under occlusion (closed bandage, layer...), on a damaged skin (in particular burned), on a mucous membrane and in the young child.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using HOMÉOPLASMINE®, ointment.
Children
HOMÉOPLASMINE® Ointment should not be used in children under 30 months of age.
Other medicines and HOMÉOPLASMINE® Ointment
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or may use any other medicines.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
This drug is not recommended during pregnancy and in women of childbearing age who are not using effective contraception.
Either the drug or breastfeeding should be discontinued. If the drug is applied to the breasts, if a woman decides to breastfeed, the skin should be cleaned before each feeding.
In animals, one of the substances contained in this medication has altered fertility. Tell your doctor if you are planning a pregnancy or if you have difficulty conceiving.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you think you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medication.

Dosage
Skin irritations: 1 to 3 applications per day in a thin layer.

Side effects of Homeoplasmine Ointment for Irritations 40 g
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, but they do not always occur in everyone.
The following side effects have been reported:
Burning sensation at the application site, redness at the application site, eczema, hypersensitivity reactions including angioedema.
Risk of systemic effects (see section 2).
In infants and children, boric acid has been responsible for serious intoxications. Cutaneous signs (intense and diffuse erythroderma, followed by desquamation with an initial erythema often predominating in the area of the seat and mouth) should raise the alarm.

Storage Homeoplasmine ointment irritations 40 g
Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiration date indicated on the box. The expiration date refers to the last day of the month.
Do not use beyond one year after opening the tube.
Store at a temperature below 25°C.
Do not dispose of any medication in the sewage system or in the household garbage. Ask your pharmacist to dispose of any medication you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.
