Instructions for use Biosynex Exacto 1 HIV Test Kit HIV Self-Test
The test must be used at least three months after the last exposure risk to give a reliable result. The test is performed by touching the measuring area of the cassette to a drop of blood from the finger:
Wash your hands with soap and warm water for a better circulation at the fingertips.
Take out the alcohol wipe and disinfect the fingertip chosen for the sampling.
Take the swab out of its case and wipe off any traces of alcohol.
Apply the G lancing device to the fingertip. Trigger it by pressing firmly on the other end.
Squeeze the fingertip to form a large drop of blood for collection.
Place the drop of blood in the square BLOOD well of the cassette
(The drop of blood must come into direct contact with the bottom of the well which must be completely filled).
Place two drops of diluent in the round well of the cassette.
Interpretation of results:
Read the result at 10 minutes, do not read it again after 20 minutes.
You are probably HIV negative:
If only one band appears in the control area (C) and no band is present in the test area (T).
A negative result may appear in an infected person who is less than 3 months old.
You cannot claim to be HIV-negative if you identify risk-taking during the last 3 months prior to performing this self-test.
You are probably HIV positive:
If two bands appear, one in the control area (C) and one in the test area (T).
A positive result must be confirmed by a laboratory test. Consult a physician or go to a testing center.
The diagnosis of HIV infection can only be made by a doctor on the basis of biological tests carried out in a medical analysis laboratory. This self-test is only a complementary tool intended to promote the detection of the HIV infection.
The test is invalid:
If the band in the control zone (C) does not appear and this, even if a band appears in the test zone (T).
Discard this test and perform a new test.
