Exomuc Toux Grasse is a non-prescription medicine containing 600 mg acetylcysteine, a fluidifier used to treat bronchial conditions known as coughing, in children over 2 years of age (200 mg version) and adults. The Exomuc sachet is used for oily coughs with difficulty in spitting, such as acute bronchitis, tracheobronchitis or chronic bronchitis. Exomuc 600 mg is for adults only. It is used to treat bronchial secretion disorders, in particular acute bronchitis and acute episodes of chronic bronchopneumopathy.
Exomuc is a non-prescription medicine in sachet form. It is sugar-free and Orange-flavored, making it easy to take, especially for younger people.
EXOMUC COUGH 200 MG: DOSAGE AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Exomuc is indicated for the treatment of bronchial secretion disorders, particularly in acute bronchial conditions: acute bronchitis and acute episodes of chronic lung disease. Exomuc is available in granules for oral solution, in sachets and in sachets to be taken without water:
Exomuc coux grasse 24 sachets is used diluted in water. These are granules for drinkable solution, and the contents of the sachet should be dissolved in half a glass of water.
Exomuc Toux Grasse sans eau 15 sachets contains acetylcysteine, with an identical composition. This orange-flavored granulated formula is intended for oral use, and is swallowed without water. These are granules for oral use: the contents of the sachet can be dissolved in a glass of water or taken directly into the mouth. In the latter case, allow the granules to melt in the mouth. This form is reserved for adults and children over 7 years of age.
Dosage for Exomuc cough granules:
Exomuc coux grasse sachets should be taken by adults and children over 7 years of age: 600 mg per day, in 3 doses, i.e. 1 sachet 3 times a day;
For children aged 2 to 7: 400 mg per day, in 2 doses, i.e. 1 sachet for oral solution 2 times a day;
Treatment should not exceed 8-10 days without medical advice.
DOSAGE AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE OF EXOMUC 600 MG
Exomuc 600 mg cough medicine is for adults only. It is taken orally once a day. Dissolve the contents of one sachet in half a glass of water, then swallow the solution.
Treatment with Exomuc 600 mg is limited to 8 days. After this period, a doctor should be consulted. It is not advisable to continue treatment if symptoms worsen. Exomuc 600 mg should not be taken at the same time as cough suppressants or bronchial dryers.
EXOMUC COUGH: CONTRAINDICATIONS
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. It is preferable not to use Exomuc sachets during pregnancy. In the event of treatment with Exomuc, it is preferable not to breast-feed your child.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Exomuc Cough Soda for oral use in sachets:
if you have oily, purulent sputum or a fever;
if you have chronic (long-term) bronchial or lung disease.
Do not give to babies or infants under 2 years of age.
Acetylcysteine may cause bronchospasm (sudden narrowing of the bronchial tubes), particularly in asthmatic patients. Caution is advised in subjects with asthma or a history of bronchospasm. If breathing difficulties, such as shortness of breath which may be associated with coughing and/or an increase in bronchial secretions, occur immediately after taking this medicine, it may be a case of bronchospasm. In this case, you should immediately stop treatment and consult a doctor.
At the start of treatment with acetylcysteine, bronchial secretions may become more fluid and increase in volume, leading to bronchial congestion. This drug should be used with caution in subjects with difficulty or inability to expectorate.
Do not take any cough suppressant or bronchial secretion drying medication during treatment with this drug. Treatment should not be continued if symptoms worsen. In this case, consult your doctor for a reassessment of your treatment. This drug should be used with caution in cases of stomach or duodenal ulcers.
This medicine should not be used in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase/isomaltase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases). If in doubt, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.
This medicine contains 1.7 g of sucrose per sachet, which should be taken into account in the daily ration in the case of a low-sugar diet or diabetes. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. This medicine is reserved for children aged 7 and over. It is not suitable for children under 7 years of age.
EXOMUC COUX GRASSE: POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Taking this medicine may cause an allergic skin reaction (itching, rash, urticaria, etc.), stomach pains, nausea, diarrhea, necessitating a reduction in dose. Exomuc coux grasse may aggravate bronchial congestion and risk respiratory complications, particularly in infants.
A productive cough is one accompanied by mucus and sputum. This is the body's normal defense mechanism, as it tries to cough up the annoying mucus.
Exomuc cough medicine contains acetylcysteine in doses of 200 mg or 600 mg. This mucolytic acts on the gel phase of mucus by breaking the disulfide bridges of glycoproteins. The resulting mucus fluid is easier to eliminate.
