Description Arthrum H 2% 40mg/2ml injectable solution 3 syringes
Arthrum H 2% is a viscoelastic medical device ofhyaluronic acid intended for intra-articular injection. It is composed of 3 pre-filled syringes of 2ml, each containing 40 mg of sodium hyaluronate (FB). It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment ofosteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis and viscosupplementation
Synovial fluid is a viscous substance present in the spaces of our joints. This liquid acts by lubricating the articular tissues, and thus decreasing the friction of the cartilage. It also allows protection against shocks during a movement.
In case of gonarthrosis(osteoarthritis of the knee), the quantity of synovial liquid is reduced, inducing pain and a lower mobility. Arthrum contains sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid). The intra-articular injection acts by replacing and supplementing the elastoviscosity of the pathological synovial fluid of arthritic joints.
The therapeutic indications are all types of painful gonarthrosis: An injection reduces pain and promotes movement for several weeks or months. The procedure must be performed by a specialist.
Indications for use of Artrum H 2
Arthrum H 2% is recommended in case of pathological joints, to replace and supplement the elastoviscosity of the altered synovial fluid, and thus maintain the endo articular space. Injected into the joint space, Arthrum will improve the lubrication of the joint. It helps to restore joint mobility and reduce pain.
