EFFERALGAN RED FRUITS 1000 mg, granules in sachet is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or feverish states.
This medication is INDICATED FOR ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS weighing 50 kg or more (over 15 years of age).
Dosage Efferalgan 1000 mg red fruit flavor granules
The content of each sachet is taken orally, without water.
It is recommended to take 3 sachets per day, and to strictly follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. This dosage can be extended to 4 sachets per day without exceeding it and respecting a minimum delay of 4 hours between each intake. Any overdose presents a high risk of damaging liver functions.
If you are subject to mild to moderate hepatic insufficiency, chronic alcoholic, dehydrated or malnourished, consult a physician and do not exceed the low dose of 2 sachets per day.
In case of renal insufficiency, the minimum interval between each intake is adjusted to your creatinine clearance rate:
Greater than or equal to 50 mL/min = 4 hours between each dose
Between 10 and 50 mL/min = 6 hours between each dose
Less than 10 mL/min = 8 hours between doses
The duration of treatment is a maximum of 5 days for pain and 3 days for fever. If the symptoms persist despite everything, consult a doctor as soon as possible.
Precautions for use of Efferalgan 1000 stick Red Fruits
In addition to allergy to paracetamol or any of the other components of Efferalgan 1000 mg red fruits granules, this medication is prohibited in cases of severe liver disease.
Precautions should be taken in cases of mild to moderate hepatic insufficiency, chronic alcoholism, renal insufficiency, Gilbert's syndrome (jaundice), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hemolytic anemia (abnormal decrease in the number of red blood cells and hemoglobin), chronic malnutrition (low hepatic glutathione reserves) and dehydration (excessive loss of body water).
Consult your doctor before taking Efferalgan 1000 mg if you are already under medical treatment, to avoid any harmful interaction.
In case of pregnancy and breastfeeding, this analgesic and antipyretic drug can be taken, but at low dose and under medical supervision.
