Mag 2 magnesium is a powdered oral solution in sachets, formulated with magnesium.
A number of symptoms may be characteristic of magnesium deficiency, such as nervousness, mild anxiety, minor sleep disturbances, irritability and transient fatigue, but also manifestations of anxiety (digestive spasms or healthy heart palpitations), or muscle tingling and cramps.
Additional magnesium intake can limit these symptoms.
How to use Mag 2 magnesium
The recommended dosage for adults is 2 sachets a day.
For children, the dosage is 9.6 to 28.8 mg per kilogram per day, i.e. 1 to 2 sachets per day.
Sachets of powder for oral solution should be dissolved in a large glass of water, and administered in several doses before or during meals.
The duration of treatment should not exceed one month.
If you take more than the recommended dose, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Contraindications to Mag2 sachet use
If you are intolerant to certain sugars, please contact your doctor before using this product.
Mag 2 magnesium should not be used in the event of severe renal impairment, or allergy/hypersensitivity to any of its components.
The dosage of this medicine is not suitable for babies weighing less than 12 kilos, i.e. around 2 years.
It is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medication you are taking, to avoid interactions between different drugs.
With regard to pregnancy, Mag 2 magnesium should only be used on the advice of your doctor. If pregnancy is discovered during treatment, it is important to consult your doctor, who will assess the need to continue treatment.
Breast-feeding is not recommended during treatment, as this drug passes into breast milk.
Composition Mag 2 powder 30 sachets
The active substance in Mag 2 is (for 1 sachet of 6g) :
Magnesium pidolate
or magnesium pyrrolidone carboxylate 2.250 g
Corresponding to Magnesium 0.184 g
Mag 2 provides 184 mg of elemental magnesium per sachet, equivalent to 7.60 mmol of magnesium.
Other ingredients include sodium saccharin, citric acid monohydrate, sucrose and lemon flavouring.
