Nicotine EG 21mg/24h Patch nicotine Sevrage tabagique 28 patches is a medication designed to help smokers detoxify from tobacco. The transdermal device (patch) contains nicotine, the main active substance in tobacco, released progressively over a 24-hour day. The nicotine in the patch passes through the skin into the bloodstream, acting on the central nervous system to prevent smokers from experiencing the symptoms of quitting.
Nicotine substitutes are recommended for nicotine-dependent smokers who swallow the smoke. There are 3 dosages corresponding to 3 different patch surfaces, where the quantity of nicotine delivered is proportional to the surface area of the transdermal device. You can take the simplified Fagerström test above to assess your dependence and determine the right starting dosage for you. If symptoms appear after 1 or 2 days of treatment, the dosage should be adjusted upwards or downwards according to the following warning signs:
- overdose: nausea, headache, blurred vision, hearing impairment, tremor, dizziness.
- underdose: irritability, nervousness, stomach cramps, hunger, difficulty concentrating.
After 3 to 4 weeks, switch to a lower dosage and gradually stop. Different dosages can be combined.

Apply one patch in the morning, after cleansing, to dry, hairless skin without any skin lesions. Release the adhesive surface and carefully apply the patch, applying pressure over its entire surface. Keep in place overnight, changing location daily.
It is recommended not to exceed 6 months of continuous treatment.
For adults and adolescents over 15 years of age. Not for use by smokers under 18 years of age without the advice of a healthcare professional.

Precautions for use
Not to be used by non-smokers or occasional smokers, as extensive skin disease prevents the patch from sticking.
