Boiron Canephron Uncomplicated urinary disorders 30 tablets is a traditional herbal medicine used as an adjuvant in conjunction with dietary and hygienic measures to promote diuresis:
- in cases of uncomplicated urinary disorders (such as frequent urination, burning on urination and increased urgency),
- to reduce the deposition of renal microcalculi.

DOSAGE
Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over:
1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day.
Available data are insufficient to recommend specific dosages in cases of renal/hepatic insufficiency.
Pediatric population
There are insufficient data on the use of this drug in children under 12 years of age. Urinary tract disorders in children require medical consultation (they must be diagnosed, treated and monitored by a physician). Therefore, CANEPHRON, film-coated tablet should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
Before CANEPHRON, film-coated tablet can be used in adolescents under 18 years of age, a physician must rule out the possibility of serious illness.
MODE OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral administration.
One tablet 3 times daily (morning, noon and evening).
The film-coated tablet should be swallowed whole (not chewed), and is best taken with a small amount of liquid, such as a glass of water.
It is essential to drink plenty of fluids during treatment.
DURATION OF TREATMENT
If symptoms persist or worsen beyond 3 days of use, a doctor should be consulted. Patients are advised not to self-medicate for more than 2 weeks.
Duration of use depends on response to treatment.
Precautions for use
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substances, to other plants of the Apiaceae family (Umbelliferae, including aniseed and fennel), to anethol (a component of essential oils) or to one of the excipients
Peptic ulcer.
Special warnings and precautions for use
In the event of persistent fever, pain in the lower abdomen, spasms, blood in the urine, difficulty in micturition or acute urinary retention, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
This medicine contains lactose monohydrate, glucose and sucrose. Patients with fructose or galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, sucrase isomaltase deficiency or total lactase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases) should not take this medicine.
A film-coated tablet contains an average of 0.3 g of available carbohydrates. This should be taken into account by diabetics.
PREGNANCY
A moderate amount of data in pregnant women (between 300 and 1000 pregnancies) has not demonstrated any malformative or toxic effect of CANEPHRON, film-coated tablet, on the fetus or the newborn.
Animal studies have shown no evidence of reproductive toxicity (see section 5.3). If necessary, CANEPHRON, film-coated tablet may be prescribed during pregnancy.
BREAST-FEEDING
It is not known whether CANEPHRON, film-coated tablet or its active substances/metabolites are excreted in breast milk. A risk to the nursing infant cannot be excluded. CANEPHRON, film-coated tablet should not be used during breast-feeding.
FERTILITY
No data on effects on human fertility are available. In the animal studies available, no effect on fertility in females or males has been observed (see section 5.3).
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
The effects on the ability to drive vehicles and use machines have not been studied.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Film-coated tablet.
The film-coated tablet is orange, round and biconvex, with a smooth surface and a diameter of between 10.2 and 10.6 mm.
